The North West Collaborative Commercial Agency is committed to playing a crucial part in supporting, encouraging and facilitating the innovation which Lord Darzi has singled out as a fundamental building block of improving quality.
From April 1st 2009 SHAs implemented their legal duty to promote innovation and continuous improvement in the commissioning and provision of health care
SHAs will play an important role in identification, growth and diffusion of innovation within their regions
The new legal duty will raise innovation up the NHS Agenda & encourage a more rapid adoption throughout all health and social service organisations
Included will be directions on how to create changes in attitudes and behaviours, therefore breaking down barriers to innovative thinking, experimentation and the adoption & diffusion of new ideas
